City Council

The Holden City Council acts as the legislative branch of our government, as well as its policy-making body. The Council looks to our community's goals, major projects and infrastructure improvements ranging from community growth to land use to finances and strategic planning. The Council's goal is to do the very best to represent their constituents after they've seen to the needs of the community as a whole.

City of Holden is divided into four Wards (1-4) (see attached map for your Ward).  Each Ward has two Council Members who serve two year terms.  Elections and new terms begin April each year for one council member for each ward. 

The City Council Finance meeting meets the 2nd Thursday of the month at City Hall at 7 pm.  This is the time the city's finances are reviewed by the council in preparation for the City Council meeting.  The City Council meeting occurs on the 3rd Thursday of the month at City Hall at 7 pm.  The public is encouraged to attend both meetings.
