Flag Retirement Ceremony

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5844 (VFW), the American Legion Post 90, and the Boy Scout Troop 727 invite the community to attend a Flag Retirement Ceremony at the Holden City Park on November 11, 2025 at 6:00 pm. The American Creed says "We retire flags with dignity and respect when they become worn, torn, faded, or badly soiled."
The American Legion invites you to a dinner at the VFW Hall on 2nd Street to celebrate their 80th Anniversary in Holden. They will serve pasta with either red sauce or alfredo sauce. Veterans eat free; all others will be $5 for unlimited pasta.
