Upcoming Trash Hauler Contract Dates

Update on Centralized Trash Haulers Contract:
The City of Holden has been working with the Solid Waste West Central Waste Management Region - District F to send out Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and award a contract to a trash hauler.
Here are some upcoming dates to keep in mind:
-The request for proposal will be finalized by August 20th, 2026.
-A "Pre-proposal" meeting will happen on September 11 at 10:30 am for any haulers interested in bidding on the contract.
-9/17/26: Deadline for Trash Hauler RFP Questions
- 9/18/26: Special Public Works & Infrastructure Committee Meeting
- 9/21/2026: City response to trash hauler questions due
- 10/1/2026: Proposals from interested trash haulers due
- 10/2/2026: Public Works & Infrastructure special meeting to look over proposals.
- End of October: Public Informational meetings for all residents (date TBD - will be evening meeting). This will be another opportunity for residents to review the plan and proposed contract.
- 12/7/2026: Contract will be awarded to winning trash hauler
- 6/7/2027: New City-Wide Trash Service will commence for all Holden RESIDENTIAL properties
